Sleep disruption due to shift work, jet lag, etc., increases risk of cancer, metabolic and cardiovascular disease, cognitive impairment/accelerated aging, and other chronic diseases. This Keystone Symposia, being held in Novato California from October 10-13, will cover how sleep, circadian rhythms and chronobiology regulate biological systems, including blood pressure, glucose and hormones, thereby impacting health outcomes.
We will also explore the influence of lifestyle behaviors, including food intake and exercise, on these circadian rhythms and disease risks. This conference will bring together sleep scientists with chronobiologists to energize new avenues of collaboration and investigation to advance the field and improved treatments and interventions related to sleep disruption.
