Keypoint Newsletter: Philanthropy Matters!

Keystone Symposia on Molecular and Cellular Biology is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Registration fees account for only 65-70% of our operating budget. We rely on corporate sponsorship, grants and individual giving to make up the difference. And the difference is what sets KS apart from the others.

Charitable giving allows us to be intentional about offering conferences on Emerging Topics, supporting Emerging Minds, and implementing a variety of initiatives within the Keystone Symposia Diversity in Life Sciences Program.

Philanthropy is essential to fulfill our mission and vision. Our mission is to accelerate scientific advancements and medical breakthroughs by connecting science and scientist across all disciplines and boundaries. Our vision is to cultivate the world’s most diverse scientific community through dynamic experiences that spark ideas, inspiration and innovation.

Donations of all sizes allow for:

  • The Keystone Symposia Fellows Program
  • Scholarships for trainees
  • Travel Awards for scientists from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)
  • Career Roundtables and other career development opportunities
  • Health Equity Workshops
  • & more!!!

Registration fees allows us to hold a conference, philanthropy provides the resources for added programming to make a real impact on each of our attendees! (See what attendees have to say here)
